Panther Creek Names Norris Head Football Coach

VALERA, TX — Panther Creek High School has named Cameron Norris as its head football coach and athletic director.

It’s a return to Valera for Norris, who coached at the school from 2016 to 2019 and compiled a record of 25-8.

Norris will take over for Gary Beam, who left after four years to accept a job at Fort Davis.

Norris inherits a Panthers team that went 5-5 last year and missed the playoffs. Panther Creek hasn’t been to the playoffs since 2022, and the Panthers’ last postseason win came in 2016, when Norris was the head coach.

Panther Creek will compete in a district next school year with Eden, Lohn, Menard, Olfen, Paint Rock and Rochelle.
