Angelo State Track and Field to Compete in NCAA Outdoor Nationals

 

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Angelo State will send 16 student-athletes to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the NCAA announced.

The championships are scheduled for May 21-23 in Emporia, Kansas.

The Rams will be represented by 10 athletes, while six Rambelles qualified, with Angelo State set to compete in 15 total events.

Competition begins May 21 with Abril Okon in the heptathlon at 11 a.m., followed later in the day by the men’s 4x100-meter relay prelims at 4:50 p.m.

Angelo State national qualifiers:

  • Jahleel Armstrong — 400m, 4x400m relay
  • Rami Balti — 400m, 4x400m relay
  • Taylor Briggs — 4x100m relay
  • Bautista Diamante — 4x100m relay
  • Ekaterina Fedotova — javelin
  • Jaime Moreno — javelin
  • Abril Okon — heptathlon, high jump
  • William Opare — 200m, 400m, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay
  • Esma Pajt — hammer throw
  • Francis Patanpatan — 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay
  • Kaylee Price — 400m hurdles
  • Marie Schuler — hammer throw
  • Vanam Sharma — discus
  • Dayvon Williams — high jump
  • Kamryn Williams — hammer throw
  • Jonathan Wright — pole vault

Angelo State enters the national meet following a strong outdoor season that produced multiple provisional and national qualifying marks.
