SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo ISD has named Lacy Foster as its new assistant athletic director.
Foster brings nearly two decades of experience supporting student programs and athletics. She currently serves at Central High School, where she supports campus athletic operations and works closely with coaches and staff to ensure students have a positive experience in school athletics, according to SAISD.
“I’m proud to represent San Angelo ISD as the assistant athletic director,” Foster said. “I’m excited to work with (athletic director Rodney Chant) and all of our coaches as we continue building quality programs and supporting student-athletes across the district.”
Prior to joining SAISD, Foster supported athletic programs at both Birdville High School and Midway High School, collaborating with coaches, campus administrators and athletic staff across multiple sports.
Throughout her career, Foster has served in a variety of roles supporting athletic program coordination, student participation and day-to-day operations. Her professional background also includes experience in athletic training and sports medicine.
Foster earned her undergraduate degree from Angelo State University and later earned her master’s in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia-Irvine University.
In her new role, Foster will support SAISD athletic programs through districtwide coordination, program support and ongoing work to strengthen the student-athlete experience. She replaces Mark Baker, who retired at the end of January.
