Wall-Sweetwater Basketball Games Rescheduled a Third Time

WALL, TX — The Top 25 matchup between the Wall and Sweetwater girls basketball teams will now be played next week.

After the game was rescheduled twice this week due to weather, it was moved yet again Thursday, this time to Monday at a time to still be determined.

The No. 1-ranked Wall girls (27-3 overall, 8-0 in District 6-3A) will host No. 22 Sweetwater (24-4, 6-2) with a chance to close in on the district title.

The boys game will feature No. 14 Wall (22-5, 6-0) against unranked Sweetwater (8-13, 2-4).

This story will be updated once game times are announced.

As for tonight, Wall will visit Grape Creek for another doubleheader, beginning with the girls at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow 15 minutes after the completion of the girls game.

The Grape Creek girls are 12-13 overall and 3-5 in district, while the Grape Creek boys are 13-12, 2-5.

We’re heading into the homestretch of the regular season with the girls set to begin the playoffs Feb. 16, and the boys beginning the postseason a week later.
