SAN ANGELO, TX — Angelo State quarterback Braeden Fuller has announced he has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Fuller had a breakout season in 2024 when he was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Rams to a 9-3 record and the LSC title.
He threw for 2,318 yards and 19 touchdowns with two interceptions, while rushing for 678 yards and 10 TDs.
Fuller took a step back this season, however, and never seemed to completely get back on track after suffering a calf injury in Week 2.
In eight games, he threw for 1,050 and 15 TDs with four INTs while completing only 54% of his passes. He was limited to only 42 rushing yards and no TDs.
Fuller ended up splitting reps with Kaeden Smith, who will be a junior next year.
After a 4-0 start and climbing to as high as No. 6 in the national rankings, ASU struggled down the stretch and finished with a record of 6-5.
Fuller has one year of eligibility remaining.
Another standout player for the Rams’ offense, wide receiver Corey Sandolph, also entered the transfer portal.
Sandolph had 19 catches for 336 yards and seven TDs. He also has one year of eligibility left.
