STANTON, TX — The No. 2 Wall Hawks traveled to Stanton on Friday, November 7, to take on the Buffaloes in the Hawks' final regular-season game of 2025. Wall dominated early and waltzed to a 10-0 finish, 71-7.
It did not take long for the Hawks to put this district game away. After the kickoff and on the second play from scrimmage, Wall's Gavin Scisson intercepted an errant throw from the Stanton quarterback and returned it to the house for a pick six.
Following a punt, the Hawks would go on a 71-0 run to end the half. Quarterback Landon York had an outstanding showing in the first two quarters. He threw for five touchdowns to five different receivers before he was done for the night. Kellan Oliver, Reid Robertson, Kyler O'Neal, Evan Boehle, and Jagger Thompson all hauled in touchdowns from York.
On the ground, Haygyn Barbee, Kaden McFarden, Kyler O'Neal, Tayson Stucker, and Gunner Garza all scored on the ground.
Wall's defense was a nightmare for Stanton all night. In the first half alone, Wall forced three interceptions and a safety. Stanton never managed to get anything going before the game was too far out of reach for it to matter.
In the 2nd half, most of Wall's starters took a seat to give the younger guys a chance to shine. Wall continued to dominate and almost pitched a shutout. Stanton managed to score early in the 4th quarter. The Hawks claimed a perfect regular season (10-0) with a 71-7 win.
Next up, the Hawks face off against Anthony in the Bi-District round of the playoffs. Date and time are still to be determined, but the game will take place in Pecos.
