SILVER CITY, N.M. — Angelo State junior outside hitter Madi Parrish joined elite company Tuesday night, surpassing 1,000 career kills as the Belles swept Western New Mexico, 25-17, 25-16, 25-20, in Lone Star Conference action.
Parrish became the 16th player in program history to reach the milestone and the first since Brianna Sotello in 2016. Entering the match 11 kills shy of the mark, the Saginaw native quickly found her rhythm, finishing with 16 kills and eight digs, while hitting an impressive .394. Seven of her kills came in the opening set to set the tone for the night.
Alongside Parrish’s milestone performance, the Belles turned in one of their most efficient offensive outings of the season, hitting .333 as a team — their best in conference play this year and highest since opening weekend.
