Weather Postpones San Angelo Central vs. Midland Game in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Central versus Midland football game scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, was postponed until the next day, Saturday at 2 p.m., according to San Angelo ISD Athletics. The gates open at 1 p.m.

As of 8 p.m. a long line of thunderstorms was moving through the Concho Valley. The line of storms was and rain showers stretched from Mexico near the Lantry area north through Oklahoma to Wichita, Kansas. The east-west width of the storm stretched from San Angelo westward to Garden City. The line was moving north-northeast. The weather forecast called from showers in the vicinity through 10 p.m. Friday night and finally clearing at 5 a.m. Saturday morning. Low cloud ceilings will prevail Saturday morning.

Water Valley and Robert Lee in Water Valley located northwest of San Angelo delayed their over an hour and planned to play the game. Wall and Grape Creek are delaying their game in Wall as thunder could be heard nearby as of 8 p.m. The gates are closed at Weishuhn Field until the weather cleared.
