BRADY, TX — The Brady Bulldogs had 460 yards — all of them on the ground — in a 62-13 win over Dublin on Friday to start District 5-3A Division II play.
The Bulldogs had four players with at least 76 yards in their rushing attack, led by Ashton Taylor, who had nine carries for 150 yards and four touchdowns.
Alijah Stark had 12 carries for 102 yards and two TDs, while Colby Hinton had five carries for 91 yards and a TD, and Sean Jacoby had three rushes for 76 yards.
Brady’s ballhawking defense picked off five passes, including two by Stark.
Johnny Roque had a team-high 14 tackles, two tackles for loss, and an interception he returned for a TD.
Dominic Gloria and Taylor also had INTs.
Brady improved to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in district, while Dublin remained winless.
Brady will host another winless team, Eastland, next week. Dublin will be at home against Tolar.
