SAN ANGELO, TX — Angelo State men’s basketball head coach Vinay Patel announced the addition of Jhordan Ryan, a 6-foot-7 forward from Iowa Lakes Community College, as the third signee for the 2025-26 season.
A native of St. John’s, Montserrat, Ryan averaged 14 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game last season while shooting 57.8% from the field. His performance earned him NJCAA Second Team All-American honors and a spot on the ICCAC First Team All-Region. He ranked second nationally in rebounds per game and sixth in blocks per game.
"Jhordy has the physicality and athleticism to make an immediate impact in the LSC," said Patel." Coach McKinney (Iowa Lakes CC Head Coach) did a great job of preparing Jhordy with the tools to excel at Angelo State."
Ryan also competed in the 2025 NJCAA Men’s Basketball All-Star Game, where he posted nine points, three rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two steals—all while going perfect from the field.
"Jhordy is a team-first guy, and our staff built a strong relationship with him early in the recruiting process," said Patel. "He has proven to be a consistent and reliable player over his career, and we are excited to get on the court and work with him this fall!"
Ryan joins fellow newcomers Davon Scott (Douglass HS) and Jabarri Barry (Mississippi Gulf Coast CC) in Angelo State’s 2025-26 signing class.
