Wake the Desert Returns to San Angelo This Weekend

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Wake the Desert, a wakeboarding and wake surfing event, will celebrate its 25th anniversary in San Angelo this weekend.

The event began Friday morning at Lake Nasworthy’s Middle Concho Park and will continue until the finals at 10 a.m. Sunday.

There are divisions for all age and skill levels.

There will be live music, beginning with Grayson Lee at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and Jacob & Max at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

There will also be food trucks and vendors at the event, which will feature a wake church service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Wake the Desert is free to attend, and swimming will still be available.
