Three Angelo State Baseball Players Named Academic All-District

SAN ANGELO, TX – Angelo State baseball standouts Jacob Guerrero, Ethan Flodstrom, and Nick Wilson have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

The honor recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. To be eligible, nominees must maintain a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high performance standards on the field. Out of more than 28,000 annual nominations across all sports, only about 2,000 advance to the national ballot for CSC Academic All-American honors.

Guerrero, an accounting major from Colleyville, Texas, led the Rams with a .401 batting average and a 1.113 OPS during the 2025 season. He tallied 89 hits, including 19 doubles, four triples and seven home runs, while scoring 75 runs and driving in 52. A consistent force in left field, Guerrero also recorded 41 walks and 20 stolen bases.

Flodstrom, a business management student from Port Angeles, Washington, made a major impact in his lone season at ASU. The senior led the nation in walks (55) and ranked among the leaders in on-base percentage (.548). He posted a .376 batting average with 67 hits, 18 doubles and 50 RBI, while scoring 67 runs.

Wilson, a senior MBA student from Carrollton, Texas, anchored the pitching rotation as the Rams’ Friday night starter. He compiled a 7-0 record with a 5.45 ERA over 66.0 innings in 16 appearances. He led the team in strikeout-to-walk ratio, fanning 67 batters and issuing just 13 walks, while holding opponents to a .275 average.

All three players will advance to the national ballot for CSC Academic All-American consideration, with results expected later this summer.
