SAN ANGELO, TX — Following the most successful campaign in program history, the Angelo State volleyball team has announced its 2025 schedule as the Belles aim to defend their South Central regional championship and build on last season’s run to the NCAA Division II National Semifinals.
Head coach Chuck Waddington, entering his 18th season at the helm, returns after guiding the Belles to a 32-3 record in 2024 that included a Lone Star Conference Tournament title and the program’s first appearance in the national semifinals.
The Belles will open the 2025 season at home with the Kathleen Brasfield Invitational on Sept. 5-6 at the Junell Center – Stephens Arena. The 12-match tournament will feature Arkansas-Monticello, Adams State, Southern Nazarene, Colorado Mesa, and UT Permian Basin.
Angelo State begins its road slate Sept. 9 with a regional rematch against Colorado Christian before traveling to Denver for the Colorado Premier Challenge (Sept. 12-13), where the Belles are set to face top Central Region opponents Missouri Western and Concordia-St. Paul.
Conference play opens Sept. 27 at home against St. Edward’s and St. Mary’s. In total, the Belles will host 13 matches this fall, including key LSC contests against UT Dallas (Oct. 10), UT Tyler (Oct. 11), and West Texas A&M (Nov. 1).
The Belles close the regular season at home with matches against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International on Nov. 14-15. The LSC Tournament is set for Nov. 20-22, hosted by the regular-season champion. The NCAA South Central Regional is scheduled for Dec. 4-6, with the national championship to follow Dec. 11-13 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota — the site of both previous national championship appearances for the Belles.
Angelo State’s full 2025 schedule includes multiple high-profile matchups as the program looks to take the next step in pursuit of its first national title.
