SAN ANGELO, TX — O.C. Fisher Reservoir was stocked Tuesday with 58,000 largemouth bass fingerlings in an effort to begin rebuilding the population, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
The lake at San Angelo State Park, which dropped below 1% capacity last year, has seen significant improvement in the last eight months and now sits at 9.8%.
“These fish should get off to a good start with the recent rains we have received,” a TPWD Facebook post stated.
The lake was also stocked with 21,000 bluegill fish last month to try and rebuild the prey base.
