GREEN BAY, WI — The Dallas Cowboys have selected an offensive player with their first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
With the 12th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected Tyler Booker, an Offensive Guard from Alabama.
While not the player many fans wanted, Booker fills a big need on the offensive side of the ball. With the depth chart lacking talent on the offensive front, and with future Hall of Famer Zack Martin retiring, the guard position is a huge hole in Dallas.
Also, new head coach Brian Schottenheimer likes to run the ball a lot. He also brought in Klayton Adams, who did wonders for Arizona’s offense, and Conor Riley, one of the most respected offensive line coaches in college football.
Booker is a road-grading mauler of an offensive lineman. He is 6’5”, 321 lbs, and was a two-year starter at Alabama.
The second and third rounds of the NFL Draft start tonight, Friday, April 25, 2025, and there are several players still available, including both Ohio State running backs TreyVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins, and corners like Trey Amos, Will Johnson, and Benjamin Morrison.
At wide receiver, Missouri’s Luther Burden III and TCU’s Jack Bech are still available, as is Arkansas’ Landon Jackson on the edge.
Another name that will no doubt be linked to the Cowboys is Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
