Wall's District Championship Delayed Due to Weather

WALL, TX — The Wall Hawks' district championship was delayed Tuesday night after lightning and inclement weather postponed the Hawks' final matchup against Jim Ned. The Hawks built a sizeable lead before the game had to be delayed.

Wall will resume the game where the two teams left off on Wednesday afternoon at 4:40 p.m. out at Wall High School.

The Hawks jumped out to a lead over the Indians. Wall scored two runs in the 1st inning before the offense exploded in the 2nd with another home run from Gunnar Dillard. The Hawks scored four runs in the 2nd inning and then added three more in the 3rd inning due to some walks and a throwing error by Jim Ned.

Gage Reichenau pitched a gem through three and a half innings on Tuesday night. He held the Indians scoreless through three before giving up two runs just before lightning descended.

The Hawks hope to finish off Jim Ned on Wednesday afternoon when the Indians return to Wall. The game will pick back up with two outs in the top of the 4th inning.
