Angelo State Belles Sit in 9th After Day One at LSC Championships

 

ROCKWALL, TX — The Angelo State women's golf team wrapped up the first two rounds of the Lone Star Conference Championship on Monday at the Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club, finishing the day in ninth place out of 12 teams with a combined score of 623.

Johanna Öhrling led the Rambelles with consistent rounds of 75-75, placing her in a tie for 17th individually. Lacey Stevens followed closely, carding a 76 in the opening round and finishing the day tied for 26th with a 153 total.

Mia Clarke turned in rounds of 78 and 81 to sit tied for 42nd, while Kelsey Kline posted scores of 82 and 83 to finish tied for 49th at 165. Caitlin Vanderkruk rebounded from an opening-round 87 with a 79 in round two to tie for 50th at 166.

The Rambelles began the tournament with a team score of 301 in the first round, tied for ninth, and remained in that position after round two. The team returns to action Tuesday for the final round of the LSC Championship.
