Angelo State’s Flodstrom Named LSC Hitter of the Week

RICHARDSON, TX – Angelo State senior Ethan Flodstrom was named the Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week on Monday after leading the top-ranked Rams to a four-game sweep over West Texas A&M.

Flodstrom, a designated hitter from Port Angeles, Washington, batted .588 (10-for-17) in the series with four home runs, three doubles, and 10 RBIs. He also scored nine runs and drew three walks. In Game 3 of the series, Flodstrom delivered two home runs, including a grand slam that helped secure the series-clinching win.

A business management major, Flodstrom’s performance helped the Rams (35-7, 33-7 LSC) remain atop the national rankings and improve their position in the Lone Star Conference standings.

Angelo State will return home this week to host Eastern New Mexico for a four-game series beginning Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium.
