SAN ANGELO, TX — After a 10-day break, the No. 4-ranked Angelo State University baseball team will be back in action this weekend when it hosts Texas A&M International.
The Rams last played March 11 when they swept Wayland Baptist in a doubleheader, 13-6 and 18-7.
Before that, however, ASU was on a three-game slide after a setback on the road against Lubbock Christian.
The series loss in Lubbock dropped ASU two spots in the national rankings, but the Rams still have a 20-6 overall record and an 18-6 mark in Lone Star Conference play.
Texas A&M International enters this weekend with an 11-19 overall record and 10-18 LSC mark after also dropping three of four against Lubbock Christian.
ASU and International will begin their series at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium. They’ll play a 4 p.m. doubleheader Saturday followed by a 1 p.m. finale Sunday.
