3 Texas Basketball Teams Remain Ranked in Top 25

HOUSTON, TX — Led by the University of Houston, which is up one spot to No. 3, Texas still has three men’s basketball teams ranked in the Top 25 of the Coaches Poll.

Texas Tech also moved up a spot to No. 9, while Texas A&M dropped 10 spots to No. 21.

Houston has won eight straight games, including a 69-61 win over Texas Tech last week.

The Aggies have lost four in a row, with three of those losses against Top 25 teams. A&M hosts No. 1 Auburn at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The rest of the top 10 includes No. 2 Duke, No. 4 Tennessee, No. 5 Florida, No. 6 St. John’s, No. 7 Michigan State, No. 8 Alabama and No. 10 Iowa State.

The Texas Longhorns, who have lost six of their last seven games, are far out of the Top 25 and a long shot to even make the 68-team March Madness bracket.
