SAN ANTONIO, TX — The Angelo State women’s golf team completed the first day of play at the Rattler Invitational, hosted by St. Mary’s, finishing in 13th place with a combined score of 640.
Round One Highlights
- Mia Clarke led the Belles with a first-round score of 76.
 - Kelsey Kline followed with an 80, the second-best score for the team.
 - Johanna Öhrling posted an 83 in the opening round.
 - Caitlin Vanderkruk carded an 84.
 - Lacey Stevens rounded out the team scoring with a 92.
 - Competing as an individual, Avery Burns finished the round with an 82.
 
Round Two Highlights
- Clarke shot an 82 in the second round, tying for 36th overall.
 - Öhrling posted a combined score of 158, placing her in a tie for 44th.
 - Kline improved with a second-round score of 79, finishing tied for 52nd.
 - Vanderkruk concluded the day tied for 73rd with a total score of 169.
 - Stevens posted an 81 in the second round, finishing in 80th place.
 - Burns ended the day tied for 70th with a combined score of 167.
 
The Belles return to action on Feb. 25 for the final round of play.
