6 San Angelo Central Girls Basketball Players Earn All-District Honors

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Central senior Reegan Howell and junior Jazmyne Gipson received first-team honors to highlight the Lady Cats' showing on the All-District 2-6A Girls Basketball Team.

The two helped lead the Lady Cats to a third-place finish in district. Central lost its playoff opener 51-41 to El Paso Eastwood.

Juniors Kaylen Franklin and Adison Gonzalez were named second-team all-district, while sophomores Karsyn Scott and Bethany Fuentes received honorable mention.

District champion Frenship, which lost in the regional final, was well represented on the all-district team, led by MVP Jada Jackson.

Frenship’s Addisyn Bollinger was Offensive Player of the Year, and Keyanna Jones was Sixth Man of the Year. Lady Tigers coach Trent Hilliard was named the district’s Coach of the Year.

Midland Legacy had the Defensive Player of the Year, Aniyah Mayberry, and the Newcomer of the Year, Jaelyn Norman.
