AUSTIN, TX — The University of Texas women’s basketball team moved up to No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll Monday for the first time in 21 years.

The Longhorns took over the top spot after previous No. 1 Notre Dame fell in double overtime to North Carolina State.

Texas has a 26-2 record and is on a 10-game winning streak, which includes four straight wins over ranked teams - No. 24 Vanderbilt, No. 2 South Carolina, No. 8 Kentucky and No. 5 LSU.

The Longhorns were last ranked No. 1 on Feb. 16, 2004.

Texas will play again at 6 p.m. Monday at Georgia.
