SAN ANGELO, TX — The No. 2-ranked Angelo State University baseball team won its 10th straight game Monday with a 20-1 blowout of Oklahoma Christian.
It completed a sweep of the Eagles, though the previous three games were much closer as ASU earned wins of 10-8, 5-2 and 2-0.
On Monday, Lane Hutchinson and Blake Wilhoite each went 3 for 4 to lead the offense. Tayten Tredaway went 2 for 4 with a double and five RBIs.
Austin Beck went 1 for a 4 with a home run.
Ryan Free struck out seven in only 3.2 innings of work. He allowed two hits and a run.
The Rams improved to 14-2, while Oklahoma Christian fell to 2-10.
ASU will play again when it hosts St. Mary’s in a four-game series beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
