RICHARDSON, TX — After a great weekend for the Angelo State women’s tennis team, Ivet Stancheva has been named the Lone Star Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.

Stancheva played a pivotal role in helping the Rambelles secure victories over Central Oklahoma (4-3) and No. 24 Missouri Western (4-3), marking the first-ever win over Missouri Western in program history.

Clutch Performances

  • Against Central Oklahoma: With the Belles down 3-1, Stancheva stepped onto the court and dominated her match, winning 6-3, 6-0 to tie the overall match at 3-3.
