SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State University softball team continued its climb up the national rankings, moving from No. 7 to No. 5 on Tuesday in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll.
ASU began the year at No. 11 and has backed up the lofty expectations with a 13-1 start.
The Rambelles’ only loss was 1-0 to Missouri Western State.
ASU, which is on a six-game winning streak, swept No. 20 Oklahoma Christian and Cameron last weekend to open Lone Star Conference play with a 4-0 start.
The Belles will be back in action with two games Saturday at Texas Woman’s, followed by a huge doubleheader at No. 1 UT Tyler on Monday.
