SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State University softball team improved to 4-0 in Lone Star Conference play following a sweep of No. 20-ranked Oklahoma Christian and Cameron over the weekend.
ASU defeated Oklahoma Christian 4-0 and 3-2, then beat Cameron 8-0 and 5-3.
The Rambelles threw their second no-hitter of the year, a combined effort between Cheyenne Floyd and Bri Waters. Floyd threw the first four innings before Waters finished off the game in the fifth.
ASU improved to 13-1 overall with its sixth straight win.
The Belles will travel next weekend to play Texas Woman’s and No. 1 UT Tyler.
ASU’s next home appearances are Feb. 28 against Texas A&M International and March 2 vs. St. Mary’s.
