TYLER, TX — The No. 2-ranked Angelo State University baseball team rallied after dropping the first two games to earn a series split with No. 16 UT Tyler last weekend.
The Rams fell 5-3 and 6-2 in the opening games of the series for their first two losses of the season, but they earned 4-2 and 10-8 wins to salvage the series.
Jacob Guerrero went 9 of 17 at the plate to lead ASU’s offense.
Both teams are now tied atop the Lone Star Conference standings with St. Mary’s at 6-2.
ASU will play again when it hosts Sul Ross State at 3 p.m. Friday to begin a four-game set Friday at Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium.
