SAN ANGELO, TX — The No. 2-ranked Angelo State baseball team will hit the road for the first time in the 2025 campaign as the Rams travel to play No. 16 UT Tyler in a four-game Lone Star Conference series beginning Friday.
Both teams are undefeated after sweeping their season-opening series last week.
ASU dominated UT Permian Basin by a combined score of 51-7 in four games, while UT Tyler won its four games 56-24 over No. 12 Lubbock Christian.
ASU is the preseason favorite to win the conference title again, while Lubbock Christian was second. UT Tyler, which was picked fourth, could shake up those projections even further with a strong showing this weekend.
The series opener is at 6 p.m. Friday, followed by a 2 p.m. doubleheader Saturday, and the series finale at 1 p.m. Sunday.
ASU will return home to play Sul Ross State on Feb. 14-16.
