SAN ANGELO, TX - The Angelo State University Cheer Team will host four spring cheer clinics for local and area youth and high school and ASU students - two in February, one in March and one in April - at ASU's Ben Kelly Center for Human Performance, 2050 S. Johnson St.
Advance registration is required and is now open for the two February clinics.
Youth Cheer Clinic - Friday, Feb. 14
- Age Group: Kindergarten - 8th Grade
- Cost: $30 per person
- Check in: 5:30 p.m.
- Clinic: 6-8 p.m.
- Online Registration: Open through Feb. 13 via electronic form.
This clinic will introduce participants to tumbling, jumps and stunting. It will also include learning game-day chants, fun stations, and photo opportunities with ASU cheerleaders and mascots.
Open Practice Cheer Prep Clinic - Saturday, Feb. 15
- Age Group: High School and ASU Students
- Cost: $20 per person
- Check in: 12:30 p.m.
- Clinic: 1-3 p.m.
- Online Registration: Open through Feb. 14 via electronic form.
Participants will work on group stunts, baskets, pyramids and tumbling. It is a great opportunity for participants to work on building skills to prepare for college tryouts or progress individual skills for their high school team.
College Cheer Prep Clinic - Saturday, March 29
- Age Group: High School and ASU Students
- Cost: $30 per person
- Check in: 12:30 p.m.
- Clinic: 1-4 p.m.
- Online Registration: Runs March 1-28 (event details)
Participants will work on college-level group stunts, tumbling and game-day expectations and learn the ASU Fight Song.
Open Practice Cheer Prep Clinic - Saturday, April 12
- Age Group: High School and ASU Students
- Cost: $20 per person
- Check in: 12:30 p.m.
- Clinic: 1-3 p.m.
- Online Registration: Runs March 17 - April 11 (event details)
