GARDEN CITY, TX — The Water Valley football team advanced to the state semifinals for the first time in program history with a 70-38 win over Westbrook on Friday.

Water Valley led 24-22 after the first quarter, then began to pull away in the second quarter to take a 48-30 lead into halftime.

Water Valley’s defense posted a third-quarter shutout to take a 62-30 lead into the final frame.
