San Angelo Central's Emilee Sikora Named MVP of All-District 2-6A Volleyball Team

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Central’s Emilee Sikora was named the Most Valuable Player recently on the All-District 2-6A Volleyball Team.

Sikora, who has committed to Lubbock Christian University, had a team-high 459 kills and displayed her versatility with 373 digs and 45 aces.

She helped the Lady Cats go 28-5 and win a share of the district title.

Journi Jones was named Co-Outstanding Setter along with Midland Legacy’s Caitlin Beckham.

Jones directed Central’s offense with 925 assists and added 467 digs and 53 aces.

Central’s Gigi Mackie was Co-Outstanding Blocker with Frenship’s Hannah Pharies. Mackie had 80 blocks.

Central head coach Julie Williams was Co-Coach of the Year with Frenship’s Amy Mangum.

Central's Sam Cardona, Adyson Welch and Laney Hill were named first-team all-district, while Aleeya Macias, Sydney Crooks and Brisa Balderas were named to the second team.
