SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State University football team received the No. 3 seed in its region during Sunday’s NCAA Division II Selection Show.
The Rams will open the playoffs at home at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, against Bemidji State at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field.
ASU (9-2) ran through the Lone Star Conference with a perfect 9-0 record, capped by a 56-19 win over West Texas A&M on Saturday night.
The Rams jumped one spot from No. 4 in the last rankings.
Bemidji State is located in northern Minnesota. The Beavers are 8-3 and were seventh in the most recent rankings.
Western Colorado vaulted from No. 5 all the way to No. 2. The Mountaineers will host Central Washington.
On the other side of the Super Region 4 bracket, Colorado State-Pueblo has the top seed and a bye. The Thunderwolves will play the winner of No. 4 Augustana and Minnesota State-Mankato.
