No. 4 Wall Runs Over Anthony in Playoff Opener

WALL, TX — The No. 4-ranked Wall High School football team scored just seconds into its first-round playoff game against Anthony on Friday and never looked back in a 74-6 win.

Briggs Jones intercepted a pass and returned it for a score 24 seconds into the contest, setting off a flurry of Hawks' touchdowns.

Landon York threw three TD passes in the first quarter alone — to Kyler O'Neal, Levi King and Jones — for a 26-0 lead.

York threw another TD to Zach Rohmfeld, then scored on a 45-yard scramble as Wall built a 60-0 lead by halftime.

King also had an interception return for a TD.

Wall improved to 10-1 with its ninth straight victory and advances to play Childress or Slaton next week in the area round.

Anthony's season ended at 1-10.
