Lake View Chiefs Overwhelmed by Andrews in Regular-Season Finale

ANDREWS, TX — The San Angelo Lake View football team lost 65-7 on the road to Andrews on Friday to close out its regular season.

The Chiefs (2-8) will open the playoffs against Stephenville, the No. 4-ranked team in Class 4A Division I, at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene.

Andrews running back Jaesean Debouse needed only three carries to rack up 127 yards and two TDs to lead the Mustangs.

Lake View was without starting quarterback Chris Alvizo due to injury.

The Chiefs narrowly lost their first two district games — 45-37 in overtime to Pecos and 28-21 to Big Spring — and they had no chance of improving their playoff seeding against Andrews.

Friday's output was Lake View's lowest scoring total of the season. The Chiefs were averaging 30 points per game.
