SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State University football team collected two more Lone Star Conference weekly honors after a 38-0 win over Texas A&M–Kingsville as Braeden Fuller and Cade Fuller were both named players of the week.
Braeden Fuller, a junior kinesiology major, was selected Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week and the third time this season after throwing for 332 yards and four touchdowns, adding another touchdown on the ground.
He earned career-highs in both yards and touchdowns against the Javelinas and has now been responsible for 12 touchdowns in his last three starts as the Rams improve to 4-0 in conference play.
Cade Fuller, a senior sociology major, was named Special Teams Player of the Week after averaging 49.9 yards per punt on eight attempts against the Javelinas. He kicked a long of 71 yards with five punts going for more than 50 yards. He also had five of his seven kickoffs go for touchbacks in the game.
Fuller leads the conference with 46.2 yards per punt and ranks seventh on the NCAA Division II active career list with a career average of 41.5 yards per punt.
The Rams are back on the road this weekend as they travel to Midwestern State on Saturday, Oct. 19.
