Water Valley Volleyball Jumps to No. 1 in State Rankings

AUSTIN, TX — The Water Valley Lady Wildcats are now the No. 1-ranked volleyball team in Texas in Class 1A.

Water Valley claimed the top spot in this week's poll by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.

The Lady Wildcats have a 22-3 record and are on a six-match winning streak.

Water Valley is followed in the rankings by No. 2 Harrold, No. 3 Blum, No. 4 Chester and No. 5 Neches.

Other Concho Valley schools in the 1A state rankings include Veribest at No. 15 and Bronte at No. 16.

Sonora is ranked No. 7 in the 2A rankings, while San Angelo Central is No. 16 in the 6A rankings.
