DALLAS, TX — The Angelo State University volleyball team upset No. 3-ranked West Texas A&M in four sets Friday at the LSC Challenge in Dallas.
ASU's 25-21, 18-25, 25-22, 25-17 win was the Belles' ninth victory in a row.
It was also the Rambelles' third straight win over a Top 25 opponent, which includes wins over No. 20 Dallas Baptist on Thursday and No. 15 Colorado Mesa last week.
ASU, currently ranked No. 21, will be sure to make a significant jump in next week's rankings.
Madi Parrish led ASU with 22 kills and only three hitting errors in 40 attempts. Adeline Ortman had 49 assists. Evelyn Torres had 15 kills and nine digs.
The Belles committed only 11 errors, their lowest total of the season.
ASU, which improved to 10-1, will open Lone Star Conference play in its next match at Midwestern State at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27.
