DALLAS, TX— The holdout is over as the Cowboys have signed their All-Pro wide receiver to a multi-year deal.
The Dallas Cowboys have signed All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to a 4-year, $136 million deal. Lamb has $100 million guaranteed and set a wide receiver record with a $38 million signing bonus reports NFL insider Ian Rapoport. He will make $34 million per year on this deal, one million behind the Minnesota Vikings' Justin Jefferson.
The main source of drama around the Cowboys this off season has been Lamb’s contract.
Now, Lamb will be on the field for the Cleveland Browns game to open the season.
Lamb has improved his stats since entering the NFL and led the NFL in receptions last season with 135. He also had 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Every Cowboy fan knew this was going to get done before the start of the season. It has been the same song and dance with other Cowboys like Zack Martin and Ezekiel Elliott. Also, Lamb has been in long enough and has proven enough where he would have likely gotten little to no playing time in the preseason anyway.
Now that the Lamb deal is done, quarterback Dak Prescott and linebacker Micah Parsons need new deals as well.
