Angelo State Rams Have 3 Players Named to Elite 100 Watch List

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State University football team landed three players on the D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List in defensive back Andrew Pitts, offensive lineman Noah Plsek and kicker Bradley Larson.

Pitts, a senior kinesiology major from McKinney, Texas, was named second-team defense after he earned first-team defensive honors from the LSC last year, registering 40 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, four interceptions and nine pass breakups. He also earned first-team offensive honors as a return specialist with 10 returns for 149 total yards and a touchdown.
 
A senior history major from West, Texas, Plsek earned second-team offense following last season where he was named Lone Star Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year and earned first-team all-region honors after he anchored an offensive line that led the Rams to the third-best offense in the LSC, averaging 384.4 yards per game.

Larson, a junior management major from Prosper, Texas, collected second-team honors coming off last season where he led the Lone Star in field goal percentage at .933, making 14-of-15 field goal attempts, ranking second in all of Division II, and earning All-Region.

The Rams will kick off the 2024 season on Thursday, August 29 when they make the trip to Kansas to take on Fort Hays State.
