MCKINNEY, TX – The Lone Star Conference released its annual Preseason Poll at the Media Days event in McKinney on Thursday, July 25. The Angelo State Rams came in at No. 2 just behind Central Washington.
The Rams tallied six first-place votes in the poll to earn 260 points overall. Central Washington was picked as the favorite with 286 points, while UT Permian Basin came in third.
ASU finished last season with a 7-3 overall record and a third-place finish in the conference. The Rams start the new campaign with back-to-back road games in Kansas. They travel to Fort Hays State on Aug. 29 and Emporia State on Sept. 7.
The Rams will play their home opener Sept. 14 against Eastern New Mexico at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field.
