ARLINGTON, TX — A country music singer who sang Monday night's National Anthem at the MLB Home Run Derby apologized for her performance on Tuesday.
Ingrid Andress claimed that she was drunk during the performance and will check herself into rehab to receive the help she needs.

"I was drunk last night," Andress posted on her X account. "I'm checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition."

She has been nominated for four Grammys, including Best New Artist in 2021. Despite this, the famous country singer struggled through an acapella version of the national anthem on Monday night.
Andress began her music career in Nashville as a songwriter before transitioning to releasing her own music in 2020.
The 2024 MLB All-Star Game will be held at Globe Life Field in Arlington on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
