State 7-on-7 Tournament Kicks Off Thursday

 

COLLEGE STATION, TX — The 26th annual Texas 7-on-7 State Tournament kicks off on Thursday, June 27, and four high schools from West Texas qualified to compete for a state title. Most notably, the back-to-back tournament winners, Miles Bulldogs, seek a third straight title. Other West Texas schools to represent the Concho Valley and beyond are the Sonora Broncos, Brady Bulldogs, and Iraan Braves.

Here's the games scheduled for Thursday, June 27.

2024 7on7 Tournament

2024 Texas 7on7 State Tournament featuring the Sonora Broncos, Brady Bulldogs, Iraan Braves, and Miles Bulldogs.

Miles Bulldogs (Pool B)

  • Game 1 - vs. East Benard - 1 p.m.
  • Game 2 - vs. Childress - 2:30 p.m.
  • Game 3 - vs. Bartlett - 4 p.m.

Brady Bulldogs (Pool F)

  • Game 1 - vs. Morton - 1 p.m.
  • Game 2 - vs. Somerville - 2:30 p.m.
  • Game 3 - vs. Tidehaven - 4 p.m.

Sonora Broncos (Pool E)

  • Game 1 - vs. Lexington - 1:00 p.m.
  • Game 2 - vs. Ganado - 2:30 p.m.
  • Game 3 - vs. Eastland - 4 p.m.

Iraan Braves (Pool C)

  • Game 1 - vs. Bremond - 1:00 p.m.
  • Game 2 - vs. Willis Brazos - 2:30 p.m.
  • Game 3 - vs. Tioga - 4 p.m.

Each team will play three games for seeding and then proceed to the elimination tournament beginning on Saturday. All Division 3 teams (all West Texas Schools listed above) will play in a single-game elimination tournament for the title. The Championship Bracket begins on Saturday morning at 8 a.m.
