PINEHURST, NC — Bryson DeChambeau notched his second-ever major victory when he won the U.S. Open on Sunday afternoon. The leaderboard came down the thinnest of margins as DeChambeau eeked out a 1-stroke victory over Rory Mcllroy at Pinehurst No. 2.

The 30-year-old golfer entered Sunday's final round with a three-stroke lead before ultimately winning the tournament. He finished -6 for the tourney, one stroke ahead of Mcllroy.

At 30 years old, DeChambeau's accomplishment solidifies his status as one of the best active players in the world. This win is the pinnacle of what has been an impressive major season for DeChambeau.
