SAN ANGELO, TX —This week, the Central Lady Cats held a summer basketball camp on Central's campus for students from around the Concho Valley. Kids had the opportunity to gather together, have fun, and practice the fundamentals of basketball under the direction of current Lady Cats and Central’s coaching staff.
The camp held three separate sessions each day—all tailored to different age groups. Students aged from 1st to 9th grade were in attendance for the four-day camp. Central Bobcats and former Lady Cats Head Coach Arsenior Geter organized the event, and the Lady Cats’ new head coach, An’Jolique Woodson, directed and coached the students.
San Angelo LIVE!’s Ryan Chadwick spoke with Coach Woodson on Wednesday to get her thoughts on the camp experience. Watch the interview below:
Each camper who participated brought home an official Lady Cats Basketball t-shirt. The Lady Cats Basketball Camp continues tomorrow, with the first session beginning at 9 a.m.
