CARY, NC — On Monday night, the Angelo State Rams battle Point Loma in Round 2 at the Division II College World Series in Cary, NC.
Last Time Out
The Rams took down top-seeded Central Missouri, 3-2, in extra innings last Friday to claim Angelo State’s first victory at the tournament. Angelo State took a 1-0 lead early in the 3rd inning before Central Missouri battled back to wrestle the lead away from the Rams 2-1. Tayten Tredaway hit an RBI late in the contest and scored Christian Garnette to send the game into extras.
In the top of the 11th inning, Garnette drove in an RBI to give the Rams a 3-2 advantage. The Mules couldn’t match the score at the bottom of the inning, and Angelo State claimed victory, 3-2.

First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. CST. If the Rams win, they will face off with the winner of the loser's bracket in Game 11 on Thursday, June 6, at 12:30 p.m. CST. This is a double-elimination tournament, so even if Angelo State loses on Monday, they will continue their title defense throughout the week.
