Cowboys Superstar Not with Team During Voluntary OTAs

ARLINGTON, TX— A Dallas Cowboys superstar is not expected to be with the team during workouts.

Dallas Cowboys All-Pro wide receiver Ceedee Lamb is not going to be with the team as they start voluntary organized team activities. They are, of course, voluntary, but Lamb is seeking a new deal with the team who has been extremely slow in free agency.

One thing the Cowboys do is hold onto their talent and Lamb just had the best season ever for a wide receiver for the team with 135 catches, 1,749 yards, and 12 touchdowns, also achieving All-Pro status.

Lamb is looking for a new deal, as is the Vikings’ Justin Jefferson of the same draft class, and both are looking to be the highest paid wide receivers in the league. Dallas was actually in a very similar situation back with Dez Bryant and Denver’s Demaryius Thomas, who both had new deals before the start of the season.

The Cowboys aren’t new to his as All-Pro guard Zack Martin held out, as did Ezekiel Elliott, and both had new deals during training camp.

Although, the Cowboys have a lot of ground to cover as quarterback Dak Prescott is entering his final year of his contract and All-Pro defender Micah Parsons will be coming up on a new contract soon.
