SAN ANGELO—San Angelo ISD has announced the new Central High School Basketball Head Coaches.
Information released by SAISD states San Angelo ISD is pleased to announce the following new Central High School head coaches in advance of the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
Coach An’Jolique Woodson - Central High School Girls Basketball
San Angelo ISD and Central High School proudly announce Coach An’Jolique Woodson as the new head girls basketball coach. The promotion of Coach Woodson from assistant basketball coach to head basketball coach creates continuity for our current Lady Cat basketball players as they begin preparation for the 2024-2025 season.
Coach Woodson has previously served as assistant basketball coach at Midland Senior High School. In addition to her time coaching, Coach Woodson also has personal athletic experience in collegiate basketball at Loyola University. She has earned accolades such as Class of 2024 Hall of Fame member, 2-time Conference Tournament Champion, and 2 NAIA National Tournament Appearances.
Coach Woodson has a Master of Education in Coaching and Sport Administration from Concordia University and a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Loyola University. She is excited to continue the success of the Lady Cats basketball team in the coming season.
Coach Arsenio Geter - Central High School Boys Basketball
San Angelo ISD and Central High School proudly announce Coach Arsenio Geter as the new head boys basketball coach. Coach Geter most recently served as the Lady Cats head basketball coach leading the Lady Cats to an impressive 23-12, 9-1 record in the 2023-2024 season.
Coach Geter has previously served as basketball, football, track, and golf coach at McCamey, Borger, Brownfield, Brenham, Hondo, and Abilene ISD. He has a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science from West Texas A&M University.
“San Angelo ISD and Central HS are excited with the promotion of Coach Woodson and transition of Coach Geter to the boys side at Central HS,” said SAISD Executive Director of Athletics Coach Rodney Chant. “Both coaches have a passion for basketball and for the kids of Central HS, we look forward to watching the future of the Bobcats and Lady Cats.”
