Despite Delays Rams Down Dust Devils in Game One

SAN ANGELO— Delays be damned as the Angelo State Rams Baseball Team won Game 1 against Texas A&M International, 9-1.

As gametime closed in on us, so did the lightning. The storm, which produced hail and powerful winds and even a tornado warning, hit just as the LSC Tournament game was supposed to begin. After being pushed and pushed, the Dust Devils and Rams took the field at 10:00 p.m.

The Rams and Dust Devils had starts just like the game going into the fourth inning 0-0. Texas A&M International put up another runless inning in the top of the fourth but the Rams got on the board by Tripp Clark courtesy of Conagher Sands.

Into the fifth inning, Abiam Medina for the Dust Devils scored but the Rams ended up with two runs to enter the sixth up 3-1.

Texas A&M International was held scoreless the rest of the game but the Rams ran in six more runs with two home runs in the seventh and eighth innings.

Game 1 ended in the very early morning hours on Saturday and Game 2 has been moved to 2:00 p.m.
