SAN ANGELO— The Angelo State Rams jumped out early in Game 2 against the Texas A&M International Dust Devils and advanced in the LSC Tournament.
The Rams jumped out to a 5-0 lead over the Dust Devils in Saturday’s Game 2. From innings three to five, Texas A&M International ran in a score then in the sixth, ASU attacked again with three runs. In the eighth and ninth innings, the Rams and Dust Devils went 1-1 and ASU won, 9-2.
There was a scary moment though in the top of the ninth inning when ASU’s pitcher, Alezeah Gutierrez caught a ball back in the head area. He was checked out on the diamond and finished the fight.
The Rams advance and will head to Lubbock Christian this coming weekend and will face either West Texas A&M or UAFS.
